Our Founder's Story: Geaux Queen Brand
I've Always Dreamed Big!
I’ve always seen the world from a different perspective. I was never comfortable fitting into the crowd or settling for the expected path. While some people are content with complacency, I’ve always believed there was more waiting outside the box.
For a time, though, I tried to follow the blueprint society laid out: grow up, find a partner, raise children, and work a job just to get by. In the process, I slowly silenced who I truly was and placed my dreams on hold.
Life, however, has a way of forcing us to face the truth.
Growing up, I struggled with insecurity, bullying, and abuse. My voice was often overlooked, and for years I carried the weight of those experiences into adulthood. Without a clear understanding of what healthy relationships looked like, I rushed into a toxic and abusive marriage that nearly destroyed me emotionally and mentally.
Eventually I realized that healing had to start with me.
I began unpacking the pain, confronting unhealthy patterns, and learning how to truly love myself. Through that process, my confidence began to grow and I discovered something powerful: when a woman embraces self-love, everything about her life begins to change.
That journey led me to create Geaux Queen.
Geaux Queen was built to empower Black women to love themselves boldly, reclaim their voice, and pursue the purpose that still lives inside of them. Too many women carry dreams but feel afraid to bring them to life.
I want every woman who encounters this platform to remember:
You matter.
You are enough.
You are worthy of happiness.
You are not your trauma.
You can still win in spite of everything you've been through.
Every day I remind myself to Geaux Love Ya'Self, and I encourage other women to do the same.
